Several strike notices in Västerbotten have been withdrawn following negotiations between Region Västerbotten and the Swedish Association of Health Professionals (Vårdförbundet).
The negotiations resulted in an agreement, reducing strike participants from 300 to about 200. Some strikes, including the orthopedics department in Umeå, have already been halted.
Vårdförbundet claims their actions are not harmful to society, urging the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions to engage in central negotiations.
The overtime blockade at the ICU of Norrland University Hospital is paused until September 1.
