After negotiations on Friday morning, the Swedish Association of Health Professionals (Vårdförbundet) withdrew several strike actions deemed dangerous by the Västra Götaland Region (VGR).
However, most of the strike notice remains in place.
The strike, announced on May 21 and set to start on June 4, initially involved 29 units at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
Vårdförbundet has now canceled the strike notice for eight units, including emergency medicine, surgery, and some blood donation centers.
This decision follows a detailed review and a trustful dialogue between the union and the employer, highlighting the vulnerability of the healthcare system.
