A serious accident occurred at a railway crossing near Bromölla when an Öresund train hit a car.

The incident happened around 21:12, with the car being dragged at least 100 meters by the train.

Emergency services rescued the lone car occupant, who was taken to hospital.

There were 30 passengers on the train, none of whom were injured.

Train services are halted and the road is closed in both directions.
