A tragic train accident in Örebro, resulting in several fatalities, occurred late Wednesday evening when a train struck individuals crossing the tracks at a designated crossing point.

The incident, captured on surveillance footage, confirms that the train, heading south towards Hallsberg, adhered to the speed limit of 80 km/h, and that both sound and light signals were functioning properly at the time of the accident.

Police interviews with the train driver have been conducted, and a decision regarding an investigation by the Swedish Accident Investigation Authority is expected soon.
