A train conductor died and nine others were injured in a tragic collision involving a train and a truck in Uddevalla.

The accident occurred at a railway crossing east of Uddevalla.

Witnesses reported that the truck, loaded with concrete foundations, became stuck in the snow on the track.

The barricades then descended, and the truck driver attempted to signal to the commuter train, which was unable to brake in time.

Ten people were injured in the accident, with several taken to hospital and others driven to the health center.

Later in the afternoon, the police announced that one of them had died from their injuries.

The deceased was the train conductor, a man in his mid-60s.

The next of kin have been informed.
