A tragic collision between a city bus and a car on County Road 272 near Harbo in Uppsala has claimed the lives of two men and left several injured.

The accident, occurring in the afternoon, involved a bus in line traffic and a car driven by a man in his forties, while the bus driver was in his sixties.

Both drivers succumbed to their injuries, and 14 people were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

A major rescue operation was launched, involving nine ambulances and a helicopter.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the police.
