The Swedish government has announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth approximately 13 billion SEK, the largest to date.
This marks Sweden's sixteenth package since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, bringing the total Swedish support to over 50 billion SEK.
The package includes 302 armored personnel carriers and ASC 890 aircraft, used for command and surveillance.
The government ensures that this aid will not affect Sweden's own defense funding by temporarily deviating from the budget surplus target.
Meanwhile, the opposition is urging the government to send Jas Gripen fighter jets, though this has been postponed at the request of other EU countries.
