After enduring an unseasonably cold spring, Sweden is finally seeing signs of warmer weather on the horizon, just in time for the Valborg celebrations.
Meteorologists from SMHI and Klart predict a shift towards milder temperatures, possibly reaching up to 20 degrees Celsius, due to warm air from Southern Europe winning over the persistent cold.
The entire country has experienced temperatures two to eight degrees below normal, with northern Norrland even hitting lows of minus 20 degrees Celsius at night.
However, by the 28th to 29th of April, a significant warming trend is expected, bringing more typical, and by comparison, warmly welcomed conditions.
Despite this brief reprieve, meteorologists caution that the warmth may not last into early May, with forecasts looking uncertain.
