Sweden's Warm Spell Ends Soon

Published: 2025-04-03

Sweden is experiencing an unusual warm spell this April, with temperatures reaching up to 20 degrees Celsius in eastern and southern regions, particularly along the coast.

On Wednesday, Uppsala recorded over 20 degrees, making it the warmest day of the year so far.

However, this warmth will be short-lived as a cold front is expected to bring a significant drop in temperatures by Friday.

Meteorologists predict a decrease of nearly 10 degrees, with daytime temperatures falling to around 8-9 degrees.

This rapid shift, often referred to as "April weather," is typical for the month, characterized by sudden changes between warm and cold conditions.

Despite the current warmth, it is far from the April record of 29 degrees set in 1993.
