Sweden has been asked to pause plans to send Jas Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine, according to Defense Minister Pål Jonson.
This decision comes after intense discussions with other countries in the air defense coalition, which supports Ukraine with aircraft and air defense systems.
Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Norway have all promised to provide F-16 jets to Ukraine, with the first deliveries expected this year.
As a result, the Gripen jets will be postponed for now.
The opposition in Sweden has demanded immediate delivery of Gripen jets to Ukraine, but this is not currently feasible.
