Sweden is currently facing a severe winter weather, with snow and icy conditions causing traffic disruptions across the country.

The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has issued multiple yellow warnings for snowfall and sudden ice slipperiness in various parts of Svealand and Götaland.

The affected areas have experienced multiple single accidents, and traffic has been delayed or restricted due to the weather conditions.

SMHI warns that the icy conditions can have a significant impact on traffic, and there are risks of delays in bus, train, and flight services, as well as possible cancellations.

As the snow continues to move eastwards, more traffic problems are expected.

SMHI urges drivers to keep a safe distance on the roads, especially on icy surfaces, and to choose larger roads when possible as they are prioritized for snow removal and anti-icing measures.
