Severe snowstorms continue to wreak havoc across Sweden, particularly along the coast of Norrland, causing numerous traffic accidents and road closures.

The heavy snowfall, which began on Wednesday, has led to the closure of the Örnsköldsvik airport, suspension of bus services and several trucks getting stuck on E4. Despite ongoing snow clearance and anti-skid efforts, the weather has presented significant challenges.

The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has issued both orange and yellow weather warnings for strong winds combined with heavy snow.

The situation is expected to improve gradually by Thursday afternoon.
