Southern Sweden is grappling with severe icy conditions following an orange weather warning from SMHI.

The sudden ice has led to numerous traffic accidents, including 13 incidents in Östergötland within two hours and multiple crashes in Jönköping.

Authorities are urging residents to stay home if possible, as roads remain treacherous with black ice.

Public transport has also been disrupted, with buses canceled and train services between Nässjö and Falköping halted due to ice on power lines.

Despite the chaos, no serious injuries have been reported.

Drivers are advised to reduce speed and maintain safe distances to avoid further accidents.
