Stockholm's County Governor, Anna Kinberg Batra, is facing intense scrutiny following revelations that she recruited friends to top positions at the County Administrative Board of Stockholm, with one appointment allegedly made by merely posting a note in the reception.

These controversial recruitments have triggered an investigation by the Parliamentary Ombudsman (JO), amid widespread criticism of nepotism and lack of transparency.

Critics, including labor unions, political opponents, and even members of her own party, have called for her resignation.

In response, Kinberg Batra defended her actions as correct and in line with regulations, while Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson termed the situation a "confidence crisis," highlighting the ongoing investigations by JO and internal reviews.
