A devastating fire has engulfed a three-story apartment hotel in Hedensbyn, Skellefteå, leading to the evacuation of around 40 residents.

The building, primarily housing guest workers from nearby companies like Northvolt, was reported to be fully ablaze early Sunday morning.

Emergency services responded swiftly, managing to save an adjacent building from the flames.

One person has been hospitalized, though their condition remains unclear.

The fire, which started around 3:30 AM, is being investigated by police as a case of public endangerment due to negligence.
