A devastating fire has ravaged Hotel Kärnan in central Helsingborg, burning for over two days and leaving the building in ruins.
The blaze, which began late Friday night, has forced the evacuation of around 40 residents, including Patrick Brink, his wife, and their newborn son.
"It’s tough, but we’re grateful to have a roof over our heads," said Brink.
Nearby streets remain closed due to the risk of collapse and toxic smoke, with firefighters working tirelessly to extinguish the flames.
Local resident Charlie Sundberg described the scene as chaotic, with thick smoke and a strong stench permeating the area.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, which is being treated as suspected arson.
