A severe fire broke out in a carport in Flacksta, Eskilstuna, late Sunday night, rapidly spreading to nearby townhouses.

The blaze forced the evacuation of ten families from two rows of homes.

Firefighters battled the flames throughout the night, finally bringing the situation under control by morning.

Two apartments suffered extensive fire damage, while others experienced smoke and water damage.

In total, 15 residents are unable to return to their homes due to the destruction.

The police are investigating the incident as potential arson.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the community remains shaken by the event.
