Rail service between Stockholm and Uppsala has come to a sudden halt due to an accident at Häggvik, just north of Stockholm.
The incident, which occurred on Thursday afternoon, has affected both commuter and long-distance trains.
According to Bengt Olsson, the press chief at the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket), the earliest the service is expected to resume is 18:45. Travelers are being advised to either wait or seek alternative transportation.
This disruption is significant as it impacts one of the busiest rail routes in Sweden.
