The investigation into former national security advisor Henrik Landerholm has taken a new turn.
A cleaner who discovered classified documents he left behind at a course center has now been questioned by Sweden's Security Service (Säpo).
Prosecutors revealed that while copies of the sensitive documents have been retrieved, the originals remain missing.
Landerholm, who resigned in January, faces charges of negligence with classified information.
The cleaner reportedly received 15,000 SEK from a person linked to extremist circles, raising further concerns about the breach.
Landerholm is set to face another round of questioning as the investigation continues.
