Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson is under fire following a security scandal involving his former national security advisor, Henrik Landerholm.
Landerholm is accused of mishandling classified documents, which were left unsecured at a conference center.
The documents, initially claimed to be in a locked cabinet, were found in an unlocked one by a cleaner.
Critics, including members of Kristersson's own party, allege a cover-up, questioning how much the Prime Minister knew.
Opposition parties have also accused the government of failing to report the incident to the police.
The controversy has escalated with the reopening of a police investigation and Landerholm facing charges of negligence.
Kristersson denies any wrongdoing, stating, "The government has not and will not cover up anything.
".
