Sweden's Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer has received a new proposal recommending indefinite detention for dangerous repeat offenders.
The proposal includes stricter parole rules and the possibility of electronic monitoring during prison sentences.
However, the investigator did not support several other harsher measures from the government's agreement with the Sweden Democrats.
The Justice Department will now review the proposals, including alternative suggestions not fully recommended by the investigator.
