In a tragic incident at Gröna Lund amusement park last summer, a roller coaster accident resulted in the death of a woman and injuries to several others, including children.

After a lengthy investigation, prosecutors have decided not to charge any individuals, citing a complex chain of events involving multiple companies.

Instead, they are seeking a total of 18 million kronor in fines from three companies, with Gröna Lund facing the largest penalty of 12 million kronor.

The accident was attributed to a broken support beam, with investigations revealing lapses in safety standards and subcontracting practices.

Despite the severity of the incident, no individual accountability has been established, leaving victims and their families without personal redress.
