In a bizarre incident in central Stockholm, a tenant caused damages amounting to 1.2 million kronor after attempting to grill lamb testicles in his apartment.

The tenant placed an electric grill on the stove and left it unattended, leading to a fire that destroyed his apartment and caused smoke damage to neighboring units.

The court has sentenced the man for gross negligence, upholding a conditional sentence and fines.

Additionally, the housing tribunal decided to terminate his lease due to his carelessness, a decision he has appealed to the Court of Appeal.
