Johan Nissinen from Värnamo, initially placed sixth on the new party Folklista's list for the EU elections, did not appear on the ballot as it was already printed when he switched from the Sweden Democrats to Folklista.
Folklista did not secure any mandates according to SVT's survey, with the party leaders leaving the election watch event amidst confusion.
Despite the poor results, celebrations continued with glitter cannons and drinks.
Party leader Jan Emanuel returned briefly, acknowledging the defeat but thanking the campaign team.
The mood remained upbeat with some party members continuing the festivities.
