A significant fire risk is looming in southern and central Sweden, with conditions expected to worsen in the coming days, warns Linnea Rehn-Wittskog, a meteorologist at SMHI.
Several municipalities have issued fire bans.
"I feel anxious and try to prepare in various ways," says Mikaela Johnsson, a forest owner and vice chairman of the Federation of Swedish Farmers (LRF).
Similarly, SMHI has issued a warning for extreme fire risk in and around Örebro County.
Although the county has not imposed a fire ban, the public is urged to exercise caution when burning outdoors, ensuring fires are properly extinguished to prevent spread.
