After several days of warm weather and sunshine, the risk of wildfires has significantly increased in both Värmland and Västmanland, Sweden.

The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has issued warnings that the risk is high or very high in these regions.

Extreme caution is advised for any outdoor burning, as fires can easily spread in forested areas.

Similar warnings have been extended to other parts of the country.
