Residents of Falköping, Sweden, woke up to an unusual sight on Wednesday morning as a herd of about 30 cows roamed the city center.
The bovine escapade began when the cows fled their pasture on the outskirts of town, likely spooked by noise from a nearby airport.
Anton Eskilsson, a local resident, was startled awake by the sound of mooing outside his window.
Volunteers quickly mobilized, using ropes to corral the wandering cattle.
After about an hour, a tractor with barriers arrived to transport the cows.
Ulrika Nilsson, the cows' owner, expressed gratitude for the community's help and reported that the animals were calm and unharmed after their urban adventure.
