Moose Collisions Cause Traffic Chaos

Published: 2024-10-22

A series of moose-related accidents caused significant traffic disruptions on E20 in Sweden.

Early Tuesday morning, two separate incidents occurred within 15 minutes and a few miles apart.

The first accident happened near Almnäs, where a car collided with a moose, resulting in one person being hospitalized.

Shortly after, another crash involving three cars and a moose took place near Läggesta, Mariefred, leading to two hospitalizations, one with serious injuries.

These accidents led to complete road closures and long traffic queues.

The incidents highlight the increased risk of wildlife collisions during the moose hunting season.
