A wolf swam to Saxgarn Island near Västerås and killed ten sheep over the weekend.

Farmer Sofia Kvist and her husband discovered the dead animals, both in the water and on land.

The county administration confirmed it was a wolf attack.

Efforts are ongoing to remove the surviving sheep from the island.

Local support has been overwhelming as the farmers seek ways to protect their livestock.
