Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna has declared a state of emergency due to potential contamination of its water supply.
This follows a recommendation for residents to boil their water after a distribution line was damaged during construction at Hyndevads waterworks.
Initial tests show the water is safe, but further testing is required before lifting the boil notice, expected by Friday.
The hospital shares the same water supply as the rest of Eskilstuna, raising concerns about patient safety.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the leak while prioritizing securing the water supply.
