In Karlskrona, Sweden, nine individuals fell seriously ill after consuming cakes laced with cannabis on October 16. The incident, which occurred in the Kungsmarken area, led to several victims requiring intensive care.
Blood tests confirmed the presence of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the active component in cannabis, in all affected individuals.
Three men, aged between 20 and 25, were initially detained on suspicion of aggravated assault.
However, one has since been released, although investigations continue against him.
Authorities are still awaiting forensic analysis of the cakes to determine the exact THC content.
