Karlskrona Cake Poisoning: THC Suspected

Published: 2024-10-19

In Karlskrona, nine individuals, including several children, were hospitalized after consuming homemade cakes suspected to be laced with a harmful substance.

The victims, aged between 10 and 20, experienced severe symptoms such as vomiting, dizziness, and hallucinations.

A man in his 20s has been detained in connection with the incident, and the cakes have been sent for analysis.

Preliminary hospital reports suggest the presence of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), commonly found in cannabis, as the cause of poisoning.

The police investigation is ongoing, with further interviews planned to clarify the circumstances surrounding the event.
