A woman in her mid-20s was found dead in an apartment in Sköndal, southern Stockholm.

The police were alerted to the situation around noon on Saturday and initially suspected a crime had taken place, which led them to enter the apartment.

The woman's relatives have been informed of her death.

A 35-year-old man was arrested near the crime scene and is now suspected of murder.

The police have conducted a forensic investigation at the scene and are still working there, with several people to be questioned.

The suspect will be interrogated with a lawyer on Christmas Eve.
