On Wednesday evening, police and the national bomb squad were called to the Öresund Bridge toll station in Malmö after a suspicious discovery in a German-registered car.

The vehicle, traveling from Denmark towards Sweden, was found to contain several hand grenades, two automatic weapons, and two pistols.

A woman was arrested at the scene and is currently in custody, suspected of serious weapons offenses.

The Swedish Customs Agency confirmed their involvement in the ongoing investigation, with police assistance.

Despite the alarming find, authorities assured the public that there was no immediate danger, as the incident occurred away from the main traffic areas of the bridge.
