In the early hours of Monday, a significant fire broke out in a villa in central Nordmaling, Västerbottens län, resulting in two individuals being hospitalized.

The fire led to heavy smoke development, prompting emergency services to issue a public warning for residents to stay indoors and close all doors, windows, and ventilation to avoid exposure.

A VMA (Important Message to the Public) was issued to ensure the safety of those in the vicinity.

The condition of those hospitalized remains unknown, and the villa was reported to be fully engulfed in flames.
