For the second consecutive year, the Muslim festival Eid al-Adha commenced in Slottsskogen, Gothenburg.
Thousands gathered to pray and honor the memory of Ibrahim.
"Our greatest festival, without a doubt," said Faraj Sammo, CEO of Gothenburg Mosque.
Eid al-Adha, lasting four days, commemorates Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son as commanded by God.
Around 10,000 attendees were expected at the event.
