Across Sweden, May Day was marked with numerous demonstrations and parades, highlighting labor rights and social injustices.
In Göteborg, the day was particularly vibrant, with thousands taking to the streets under the banner of various political parties and movements.
Notably, the Vänsterpartiet (Left Party) and Socialdemokraterna (Social Democrats) led significant marches, with the latter seeing its leader Magdalena Andersson delivering a speech at Götaplatsen.
The police reported a peaceful turnout with around 13,000 participants in Göteborg, appreciating the orderly expression of democratic rights.
This year’s May Day celebrations underscored the ongoing commitment of Swedes to advocate for fairness and equality, both locally and globally.
