Five Swedish police officers are now required to pay the legal costs for a man they had taken to court following the Easter riots, as reported by Dagens Nyheter.
The officers' claim for damages was rejected on the basis that individuals cannot claim damages in crimes against emergency service operations.
With the claim for damages withdrawn, the officers are left to shoulder the cost of the legal proceedings.
