The Swedish Accident Investigation Authority is currently overwhelmed with an unusually high number of cases, leading to potential delays in their investigations, reports P4 Gävleborg.
The investigators are dealing with a variety of incidents, including train derailments on the Malmbanan, Arlanda Express, and near Hudiksvall, as well as a fire on Liseberg's Oceana and a landslide on the E6 near Stenungsund.
According to accident investigator Stefan Carneros, timely investigation results are crucial, as they are considered 'fresh goods' and should ideally be delivered as quickly as possible.
However, the unprecedented volume of cases has made this challenging, with Carneros describing the situation as 'completely crazy'.
