The Swedish government plans to set new goals for its energy policy as it works towards meeting its climate targets.
The proposed goal is to prepare Sweden to meet an electricity demand of at least 300 terawatt-hours (TWh) by 2045, a significant increase from the current annual usage of around 140 TWh.
Other proposed goals include ensuring the electricity system can deliver 99.989% of the time and can function in a geographically limited electrical network.
The proposal is currently under review, with feedback expected by January 31st.
