In a move aimed at enhancing national resilience and preparedness, the Swedish government has tasked the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) with conducting a comprehensive review of how authorities managed several major societal disruptions.
Among the incidents to be scrutinized are the chaos on the E22 highway in Skåne at the beginning of the year, and the collapse on the E6 highway in Stenungsund.
Minister for Civil Defense, Carl-Oskar Bohlin, emphasized the importance of learning from these events to draw conclusions and foster improvement.
The review will focus on the response of agencies, regions, and municipalities to these emergencies.
