In the wake of the recent snow chaos on E4 near Jönköping, the local rescue service's response is set to undergo an external evaluation.
This decision follows a significant disruption where both passenger cars and trucks were trapped for hours, marking one of the largest rescue operations since 1995. Samuel Nyström, the rescue chief in Jönköping, highlighted the need for an outside perspective to assess what worked well and what could be improved.
The investigation will also explore the coordination between the rescue service and other agencies, as well as internal cooperation within the municipality.
This move signifies a commitment to understanding the event's dynamics and enhancing future responses to similar situations.
