Sweden and Hungary are set to enter into a military agreement, as announced by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán ahead of a joint press conference with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson in Budapest.
The agreement focuses on defense industry cooperation, despite the countries' differing stances on the war in Ukraine and other values.
Orbán has expressed that while the nations have diverse views, they share common interests that allow for collaboration.
This development comes as Sweden's NATO membership bid, which has faced hurdles, nears its final stages, with Hungary's parliament expected to finalize the approval shortly.
