This summer, the cherished steam train rides to Järle and Pershyttan by the Nora Bergslags Veteran-Jernväg (NBVJ) have been cancelled.
The decision comes as a result of the organization's inability to ensure the safety of these routes due to financial constraints on maintaining the railway tracks.
A dispute with the foundation owning the railway lines is cited by NBVJ's chairman, Magnus Lundgren, as the root cause of these financial troubles.
The cancellation of these nostalgic journeys has left many enthusiasts and tourists disappointed, highlighting the importance of resolving the underlying issues to preserve this unique heritage experience.
