Amidst a sharp halt in housing construction in Sweden, the Social Democrats are accusing the government of losing its grip on the situation.
The party has proposed an array of measures aimed at revitalizing the construction sector and preserving jobs.
These proposals include a reform of the ROT (Repairs, Conversion, Extension) tax deduction, suggesting an increase from 30% to 50% for energy efficiency improvements.
They also advocate for the exploration of a state-owned property company, a special construction stimulus, state construction credits, and investments in the energy efficiency of multi-dwelling buildings.
The total cost of the proposed measures is estimated at approximately 9.2 billion SEK.
