The number of women involved in criminal networks in Sweden is rising, with nearly 500 women believed to be part of these groups, according to a situation report from the police.

Among these women, 120 are in leading roles in the gangs.

This figure is an increase of 100 women compared to the previous year, and 200 from the year 2021. The police have also noted that women have been involved in violent crimes, both as perpetrators and in other aspects of the criminal setups.
