A significant police operation took place on Friday afternoon at the Jakobsberg Centre, north of Stockholm, after a suspicious object was thrown into a jewelry store.

The centre was evacuated as the National Bomb Squad was called to secure the object.

Though it was later deemed harmless in its current state, it could have caused damage.

The incident is currently being investigated as an attempted murder and attempted aggravated arson.

No suspects have been arrested yet.
