The use of drones by the Swedish police has surged dramatically, with flight hours increasing by around 600 percent over six years.
UAS-pilot Jonas Sandström attributes this rise to the realization of drones' importance and a wave of violence.
The National Operations Department reports that the most flight hours last year were in the West region, followed by Stockholm and South, while the North region had the fewest.
Richard Henningsson from NOA believes the peak in flight hours is yet to come.
In a video, Jonas Sandström explains how drones are used to solve crimes.
