In recent days, reports of drone sightings near Arlanda Airport have stirred public concern, with incidents reported for three consecutive nights.
However, police investigations led by Per Engström from the National Operations Department have yet to confirm any of these sightings as actual drones.
Despite the reports, including one from security guards on Tuesday night, no evidence has substantiated the presence of drones.
The police emphasize the difficulty in identifying drones at night, often mistaking them for planes, helicopters, or even stars.
The incidents are being investigated as potential violations of aviation laws, but no arrests have been made.
The Swedish Armed Forces have been informed but are not involved in the investigation, which remains a police matter.
