A small airplane experienced a mishap during its landing on the ice-covered Holmsjön near Norrtälje on Sunday, around noon.
According to reports, the single-engine plane intended to land on the lake's icy surface but encountered difficulties, leading to damage during the landing process.
Fortunately, the pilot, who was the sole occupant of the aircraft, emerged unscathed from the incident.
Eyewitnesses to the event promptly alerted authorities after observing the pilot safely exit the aircraft.
The Sea and Air Rescue Center, managed by the Swedish Maritime Administration, indicated that the plane did not crash but rather was damaged upon landing.
The pilot was transported from the scene by an air ambulance helicopter, though authorities confirmed the individual was uninjured.
Officials from the Stockholm Police stated that parts of the plane might be submerged under the ice.
Rescue services announced their departure from the scene shortly before 13:00 on the same day.
